If you’re playing Starfield on PC with Xbox Game Pass and try to continue playing from where you left off on your Xbox console, you may receive the error: “Your other Xbox is taking a long time to sync to the cloud”
To fix this, follow these steps:
- On your Windows PC, open Task manager
- go to ‘Services’
- look for GamingServices in the list. (Not Gamingservicesnet)
- right click and manually restart this service.
Close Starfield on your Xbox and launch the game again. Your cloud save should now sync successfully.

The latest save game on my PC is a day older than on my Xbox.
I’ve left my xbox on a little while after manually saving.
I’ve then tried turning the PC gaming services of and on then rebooting but it still doesn’t sync correctly.
This doesn’t work.
